Renal Colic

Painful attack due to sudden blockage of the urinary tract. Radiating pain in the lumbar and genital area. The most common cause is lithiasis.

Passage of a stone from the kidney to the bladder, through the ureters.

Uric acid stone: alkalinize the urine.

Calcium stone (calcium phosphate, calcium oxalate): acidify the urine.

Stone cystinic (cystine present in urine, hereditary metabolic cause): alkalinize urine.

Distilled water: one liter per day for 10 days

Celery, broad bean, lamb's lettuce, leek, almond, hazelnut, cherry, pumpkin/pumpkin seeds

Avoid cabbage, peanuts, asparagus, sorrel, artichoke, tomato, horseradish, spinach, rhubarb, watercress, cocoa and animal proteins.

Very hot mid-body baths with decoction of hay flowers

Avoid sudden movements, straining, lifting heavy objects

During the crisis: apply a hot poultice of bran or cabbage and onion, in a belt around the waist
