Scleroderma

Affection of the collagen fibers of the dermis whose proliferation hardens the skin and considerably reduces its flexibility and mobility. It is related to autoimmune diseases.

This dermatosis occurs in a subject suffering from Raynaud's syndrome. It is characterized by the thickening of the skin and subcutaneous cellular tissue and sometimes even deep tissues. This stage is followed by atrophy and ulceration of the integuments.

Scleroderma is considered a collagen disease.
