Possible causes: cessation of ovarian activity? frigidity? sterility? anaphrodisia? hyperexcitement? calculous cystitis? bartholinitis? STDs? postpartum? post-surgical stress? ligation? hysterectomy? vaginal infection (mycosis, chlamydia, herpes)? endometriosis? repeated vaginal toilets with aggressive products? or even scleroderma?
Dyspareumia: pain in women during sexual intercourse with vaginal penetration. This syndrome can appear during vaginal dryness, chronic cystitis, vaginal herpes, lack of estrogen, tearing of a ligament supporting the uterus.
